Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Looi Eng Seng has been leading Living Word Centre for over 24 years. At the heart of his ministry is one clear calling: to make disciples of Jesus Christ who will go on to make disciples of others. He longs to see people grow in faith, encounter God’s love, and live transformed lives rooted in God’s Word.

He first came to Christ while studying at the University of Malaya (UM), where he personally experienced God’s transforming power. Since then, he has carried many life-changing testimonies with a deep passion for sharing the gospel and walking alongside others in their spiritual journey.

Beyond the church, Pastor Looi is involved in KAMPRI (Student Life Coaching and English Conversational Class) at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He believes the church is not only a place of worship but also a family where people are known, loved, and moved to make a difference in the community.

He enjoys hiking and eating durians—preferably at the same time. He is married to Aik Cheng, and together they are blessed with two children, Soong Ern and Soong Xuan, who are now working adults based in Penang.
