Our Church

Living Word Centre (LWC) is a church in Penang, founded by Pastor Looi in 2001. We are located along Jalan Sungai Dua, directly opposite Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
Our vision is to be a disciple-making church, as we believe this is God’s call for every church. It lies at the very heart of Christ’s Great Commission:

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Church Theme

Our church theme from 2016-2017 is to “MAKE GOD REAL” in all circumstances.

Our church theme from 2018-2020 is to “PUT GOD FIRST”. As a church, we want to help one another to put God first by putting His Word in our hearts and by serving together in church activities.

Our church theme from 2021-2023 is to “WALK BY THE SPIRIT”, based on Galatians 5:25-26. We emphasize the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit in all our thoughts, words and actions.

Since 2024, our current church theme is to “ADVANCE TOGETHER IN THE SPIRIT”, based on Philippians 1:27-28. We are reminded that the Christian journey is not one of loneliness, but rather of fellowship, united in faith and purpose.
